The Hope Exchange
The Hope Exchange is a Cape Town social development initiative that supports people experiencing homelessness and vulnerability, creating pathways towards dignity, stability and a better future. As part of the wider U-turn Homeless Ministries network, it takes a holistic approach to homelessness, connecting people with the practical support, opportunities and services that help them move forward.
TEARS Animal Rescue
TEARS Animal Rescue provides a sanctuary for companion animals in need; striving to end homelessness, neglect and abuse in the communities it serves through medical assistance, humane education, rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming. TEARS believes this is achieved through a partnership approach, combining individual and corporate giving with the support of community and animal welfare groups to build a more compassionate world for animals. Together, we can make a difference.
Miracle Kidz Safe House
Miracle Kidz Safe House cares for abused, abandoned and neglected babies and toddlers, providing love, protection and support to vulnerable children in need. Its mission is to offer a safe, loving temporary home — feeding, clothing and meeting the medical needs of each child while introducing them to a family structure that prepares them for the future. Led by founder Elsie Du Plessis and her small team, the house is more than a place to eat and sleep; it's a place to call home, make friends and become family.
Foster Love Animal Rescue
Foster Love Animal Rescue (FLAR) is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of animals in need. Working across the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, FLAR focuses on felines; giving cats and kittens the care, safety and second chance they deserve before finding them loving forever homes.
