Born in Cape Town to British parents, Richard’s early childhood was mainly in Greyton before schooling in the UK and travelling between South Africa, the UK and his father’s home as a diplomat.

South Africa has always been his true home despite schooling and university in the North of England and then forging a career in real estate in Central London & Guernsey, Channel Islands.

‘I love my Mondays because I love my job’. Falling into the London real estate market in his early twenties, Richard worked for leading estate agent brands as well as a buying agent, his favourite role to date. It is only natural then at some point in his career he would go it alone and create Hardie Property, Richard’s core values are efficiency, customer service, communication and trust.

Passionate about Cape Town, Richard likes nothing more than to show off what the city has to offer to new buyers and tenants. Living the Cape Town life to the full, enjoying the mountains, ocean or heading out to the countryside, coupled with his expert real estate know how, Richard is the only real estate contact you need on your side.

Linda is a full status agent at Hardie Property, specialising in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. Linda joined Hardie Property in August 2022, having come from Knight Frank Property, where she first started her career in the property world. Within one year Linda had achieved “Rookie Of The Year Award “for most houses sold as a newbie in 2019/20.

Within two years Linda had qualified as a Full Status agent and joined a partnership with Lyndsay Child specialising in Rondebosch, Rosebank and Little Mowbray, as a team they achieved the highest number of sales in 2021/22 within the company. Thereafter they took their partnership to Hardie Property to join their previous CEO of Knight Frank, Richard Hardie.

Linda had a long and successful career in the media advertising commercial world and a move to Cape Town gave Linda the opportunity to make a change to real estate sales. “My own experience of buying, renovating and selling homes gave me a keen insight into property matters and influenced my decision to get into the industry. I love exploring the “character” of different houses and gauging their potential and worth.

Some of the areas I represent has strong historic links with architecture reflecting the features of Victorian and Edwardian times. I love the elegant style to be found in the suburbs I represent – from charming upstairs/downstairs terraced homes to bigger properties with beautiful gardens and bigger space.

My previous experience of holding senior positions in the commercial portfolio in digital, print, radio and television prepared me well for the role I have now taken on and made me a firm believer in the “happy seller = happy buyer” principle – especially being a resident and owner in the Southern Suburbs I have been amazed at the many amenities Cape Town has to offer – from hiking on the mountain to taking the dogs for a run on the beach – and so chuffed that I found a place to live that makes it all so accessible.”

Shauni is originally from East London and in 2016 she decided to move to Cape Town at the requests of both her sons. Shauni is the proud parent of three beautiful children, Matthew, Ashley and Shae.

In 2017 Shauni joined Trifactor Trading, a Sanlam SCS Franchise and within the first month, became one of the Directors and Shareholder of the company, six months later took over the company as Managing Director and 100% Shareholder.

In her position as Managing Director, Franchise Principal and Senior Financial Advisor, Shauni recruited, trained and managed Financial Advisors and drove the sales of her team.

In January 2020, Shauni decided that she needed a new direction in her career and made the change to move from the Franchise arena and worked as a Key Individual of an Insurance Company for five months, to assist the company to become FAIS compliant in accordance with the FSB Regulations.

After 26 years in the Financial Industry, Shauni decided that she wanted to move into a more of of an administrative supportive role and decided to make a change in her working environment. Shauni joined Hardie Property in January 2021 as Personal Assistant to Richard Hardie. Richard and Shauni started their working relationship working totally mobile for the first eight months. In September 2021 they moved into the first Hardie Property office on the premises of Richard and Wayne’s residential home. We were blessed with daily visits from the family pets, which brought much laughter into the office.

In September 2022, Hardie Property moved into a new office space at Ideas Cartel in Claremont. It is a beautiful, bright and friendly space and centrally situated in Claremont. Our beautiful Art work in our office is a show stopper to all who walk past, which was created by our Creative Director, Pierre Odendaal to celebrate Hardie Property’s 2nd birthday.

September 2023 marked a new chapter for our Hardie Property office as we moved to our new home in the Sunclare Building in Claremont. The availability of different meeting areas made sense for the company to make the change to this new location.

Monica is a seasoned real estate professional, having been involved in the property industry and its related fields, for more than 40 years.

Her vast experience includes most aspects of the property realm, as she has been associated with legal, construction, marketing, development, hospitality and tourism property, fractional sales and for the past 20 years, the selling, letting and management aspects of the industry.

This exposure has ensured her clients have the edge during all their property negotiations, with far better than expected results regularly being achieved.

Monica has a loyal, core client base dating back 20 years. She continually strives to provide each and every one of her clients with impeccable service and unparalleled positive outcomes.

During her career Monica has become a well-regarded realtor on the Atlantic Seaboard, showing a consistent presence amongst the top performing agents in the industry. She has been contracted to most of the household name property brands and was previously the first manager of the Belmont Square Conference Centre, which belongs to the Master Builder’s Association. She is also a former marketing manager of the Boschendal Wine Estate.

In 2018 Monica persuaded her daughter, Jodi, to join her and together they have steadily secured their position as top selling and leasing realtors, achieving many accolades, in the luxury property market along Cape Town’s prestigious Atlantic Seaboard.

Their combined force has seen her real estate team, known as Team Hot Property, achieve No 1 status in South Africa, and reaching the Global Top 20 small teams list, while contracted to one of the top international real estate brands, prior to joining Hardie Property.

Monica was born on the West Rand in Johannesburg but hails from Rustenburg in the Northwest Province. She is however a naturalized Capetonian, after almost 30 years of living in and around Cape Town. She wrote her Board Exam in 2008 and holds a Public Relations qualification from Damelin College. Although she is very much the proverbial bookworm, internet surfer/researcher and couch potato, Monica loves nature and very much enjoys relaxing in beautiful surroundings, with her loved-ones.

Wayne Huxham has spent more than twenty years at the intersection of commerce and craft, leading with the quiet precision that comes from decades in retail. Originally from New Zealand, I moved to South Africa in 2024 after falling in love with Cape Town’s breathtaking scenery, vibrant lifestyle, and welcoming people.

Before real estate, I spent 10 years in the luxury super yachting industry as an officer – managing teams and delivering exceptional service to high-net-worth individuals. Travelling the world and having the opportunity to experience some of its most remarkable homes and villas ignited a passion for property, ultimately leading me to pursue a career in real estate.

After purchasing our first home in Green Point, I gained valuable first-hand experience of the property-buying journey and recognised an opportunity to combine my client-focused background with a genuine passion for real estate. Having relocated to Cape Town myself, I understand what attracts both local and international buyers to the Atlantic Seaboard and City Bowl. I enjoy helping clients find a place they can truly call home.

Outside of work, I make the most of Cape Town’s outdoor lifestyle through running, hiking, training, and swimming in the city’s beautiful tidal pools and beaches. I’m also a passionate food enthusiast and love exploring Cape Town’s incredible culinary scene, which I believe rivals some of the best food destinations in the world.
